Please pray for my friend Harry who recently suffered a stroke. Harry has faithfully served the homeless and poor at God’s Extended Hand in the heart of downtown’s homeless community for the past few years. He is always smiling and giving God the glory and that hasn’t changed since his stroke. He Now lives in Nebraska with his sister who is monitoring his recovery. I had the opportunity to speak with Edwin again. He confessed to me that he is gay. I shared with him that homosexuality is a sin and that only God can overcome his attraction to other men. We left on good terms and I look forward to future opportunities to share with him. Please pray that God’s grace will convince him of his need to repent and trust in Jesus as his Lord and Savior.

Please pray for Maria. She is a young mother with a baby girl. She was not interested in hearing the Gospel, though she did take a Gospel of John. Please pray she will read the Gospel of John and she will become a Godly mother to her daughter.

Please pray for Elsa and Ximena. They recently lost their 44 year old husband and father, William, to a heart attack only one week prior to Ximena’s Quinciniera, which was sadly cancelled in place of Wiliam’s funeral. They are devastated and Elsa has no idea of their financial picture or future. I offered my help in any way.

Esmeralda and Julie are two girls who were posting flyers for their churches Thanksgiving dinner, which is open to the whole community. They have a desire to share the Gospel with their community outside the church building. Please pray they will continue their outreach efforts and that the others in their church would also catch the vision for street evangelism in City Heights.

I met Marco while he was drinking a Corona in the alley. He’d never been to church or heard the Gospel; however, he did admit that he has done wrong. Overall, he seemed distinterated in God. Please pray he will read the Gospel of John and that God’s Word will convince him of his need to trust in Jesus Christ.

I met Joseph inside a beauty parlor. He told me he is spiritual and believes in a creator but not a specific religion. I pointed him to Jesus being his creator and handed him a Gospel of John booklet. Please pray the Lord will reveal Himself to Joseph through His Word.

I met a man sitting down with his back against a wall staring at his phone. When I told him I was there to share Jesus with him he just no. He doesn’t believe and wants nothing to do with God. Please pray that the Holy Spirit will convince him of his sin and pride and lead him to trust in Jesus.

Joshua is a young man I met who said he has received Jesus and though he prays, he admitted to not reading the Bible. I showed him what he is missing by reading to him from the Book of Proverbs and then exhorted him to be a man of the Word. Please pray that Joshua would become a man of the Word and also that his injured foot would heal so that he is able to return to work.

David and Daniel are two young men I met while they were headed back home from the convenience store. They were talkative and engaging; however, It was obvious they had no direction in life. Please pray the Lord would use The Gospel of John I gave them to convict them of their sin and lead them to trust in Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
